We are a different kind of a design build firm – misfits of sorts.

We like things old and natural: wood, steel, people, buildings, landscapes, and hell any good story. We take these fabrics and weave them into something that is familiar yet new, something that will inspire, simplify and with any luck bring you a smile. We like places and pieces that are smaller, encourage conversation, cultivate historical connections, stimulate thought, and disrupt the status quo. We like things that uplift and unite, that help you break bread, drink coffee or enjoy a whiskey together. We have sawdust on our pants, mud on our boots and a real passion for projects with a soul, a story and a sustainable life cycle.

Venture Fund

At GreenSpur we love a good story and project.  By having our own fund and group of like minded private investors it frees us up to act nimbly and with full creativity – which sometimes isn’t the case with institutional money.  Since 2008, this fund has led to some very successful projects that have included: National Association of Home Builder’s Project of the Year for entire US, LEED Platinum Certifications, Mayors Award of Historic Excellence in Washington DC, Finalist for Fine Home Building Home of the Year for the US, and Multiple AIA awards in DC and Virginia. In addition many of these projects have been featured in The Washington Post, Virginia Living, Traditional Home, Home and Design, Washington Times, USA Today, Fine HomeBuilding, and Washington Spaces. GreenSpur approaches projects similar to a way a start up firm approaches technology – how can we disrupt the current way of doing things in order to achieve a significantly better result.

If you are interested in this participating in this fund or have a project that you think might qualify for this please contact me through my email.

Thank you for your interest.
